The RoleWe are looking for a talented and driven Deep Sea Field Technician to join our growing team in Camas, Washington. In this role, you will be the frontline of our "Legendary Service," providing critical shipboard repairs, installations, and technical support for our commercial product line. WhatYou’ll Do
- Field Service:
Travel to customer vessels for equipment repairs, large‑scale installations, wiring termination, integration, and commissioning. - Technical Support:
Provide expert assistance via phone and email for our commercial product line. - Training:
Conduct and assist with training for dealers and employees on deep‑sea products. - Problem Solving:
Re‑create field problems in‑house to determine resolutions and prepare detailed trip reports to improve product performance. - Specialized Compliance:
Review VDR Annual Performance Tests and issue VDR Certificates of Compliance.
- Education:
Associate's degree (or equivalent training/experience) specializing in electronic theory or engineering. - Military Background:
Experience as a Marine Electronic Technician in the Navy, Coast Guard, or Marines is a significant plus. - Licensing:
Must possess (or be able to obtain) an FCC license with radar endorsement and GMDSS maintainer endorsements. - Credentials:
Must hold a valid Federal TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Card), a valid driver's license, and a valid passport. - Physical Readiness:
Must be physically fit and comfortable carrying up to 50 lbs and climbing ladders/masts in various weather conditions.
