Salary: $33.57 - $35.82
Reports to: Transportation Manager
Status: CAEOP
Purpose: The Transportation Secretary coordinates the safe and efficient transportation between home and school, as well as other destinations within or outside the district boundaries. Works closely with drivers, school staff and parents.
Essential Functions:
Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner with minimal supervision. Gather and analyze information, and maintain confidentiality.
Remain open to ideas, exhibit a cooperative attitude.
Articulate and appropriate verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to organize and prioritize activities.
Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; monitor own work to ensure quality.
Adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, and is able to deal effectively with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
Regular reliable attendance, follow directions, and solicit feedback.
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands:
Generally, the job requires 50% sitting, 30% walking, and 20% standing. The job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
