Conservatory

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for Conservatory and Window Fitters based in Pool. Day-to-day responsibilities include the installation of uPVC, aluminum, and timber windows, doors, and conservatories in residential and commercial properties. The role involves measuring and preparing openings, fitting frames and glass units, sealing and finishing installations to a high standard, and ensuring compliance with safety and building regulations.

The fitter will also troubleshoot on-site issues, use hand and power tools safely, and work closely with colleagues to complete projects on schedule. Professional interaction with customers, maintaining a clean work area, and accurate documentation of work completed are also key aspects of the role.

• Proven experience in fitting windows, doors, and/or conservatories, with strong practical installation skills and attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of construction or glazing practices, including measuring, setting out, and interpreting basic drawings or job specifications.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and confidently, with a strong focus on site safety and risk awareness.
• Good physical fitness and ability to work at height, handle heavy materials, and perform manual tasks throughout the day.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a professional and respectful approach to customers and colleagues.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, reliability, and a positive attitude toward learning new techniques and products.
• Full UK driving license or equivalent, with willingness to travel to various local sites as required.
• Relevant trade qualifications, apprenticeships, or glazing/construction certifications are advantageous but not essential.
