Maintain cleanliness, housekeeping, fit‑and‑finish, and preventive/predictive maintenance to reduce downtime.
Conduct inspections, identify hazards, monitor alarms and performance data, and perform troubleshooting to prevent failures.
Manage security systems (access control, badge platforms, CCTV, intrusion detection, visitor management) and coordinate vendors.
Oversee fire protection systems (alarms, sprinklers, pumps, emergency lighting) and ensure NFPA, OSHA and local compliance.
Lead emergency preparedness activities, drills, and documentation.
Allocate workspace: offices, production support, locker rooms, conference spaces; maintain space‑usage data.
Supervise parking operations, access control, permits, lighting, camera coverage, and snow removal.
Oversee custodial/housekeeping vendors, garment and uniform services, landscaping and other third‑party services.
Control operating budgets, track expenses, identify efficiencies, and maintain maintenance records.
Coordinate cross‑functional issues with Operations, EHS, Quality, IT and Production.
Supervise maintenance technicians, conduct staff performance reviews, employee relations and conflict resolution.
Promote a safety‑focused culture, enforce GMP, OH&S, SOP adherence and communicate hazards.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business Administration or related field.
5+ years of facility management experience in industrial manufacturing.
Experience managing security, fire protection and life‑safety systems in a regulated setting.
Strong communication, leadership and coaching skills; ability to work across cross‑functional teams.
Experience with conflict resolution and employee relations activities.
Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and Employment Standards Act.
Analytical and problem‑solving skills with sound business decision ability.
