Position: Controller ( contract)
Our client, a well-established manufacturer, is seeking a hands-on and experienced Controller (Contract- minimum 6 months) with a strong possibility to extend. If you are a self-motivated finance leader with strong technical expertise, a passion for accuracy, and the ability to navigate change, this could be an excellent opportunity.

This is an opportunity to leverage your expertise in full-cycle accounting, support an upcoming ERP implementation, and ensure continuity during a leadership transition. You will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity, guiding a tenured team, and contributing to process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee full-cycle accounting and financial reporting processes
• Manage month-end and year-end close, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Lead and support a small, experienced accounting team
• Oversee cash flow, banking, and internal controls
• Collaborate with operations leadership on financial insights and decision-making
• Support ERP system transition from a legacy system to Epicor
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
• Assist with audit processes and external stakeholder communication
• Provide leadership and stability during a period of organizational transition

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a Controller or senior finance leadership role
• CPA designation highly preferred
• Manufacturing or distribution experience is highly desirable
• Experience with ERP systems; involvement in implementations is an asset
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in a contract capacity and adapting to change
