Personal Banker Trainee

Responsibilities- Play a key role in advising customers of high‑level financial solutions from a range of available investment and credit banking solutions.
- Engage with customers by asking thoughtful financial questions, creating positive experiences to retain and deepen relationships.
- Increase customer financial confidence by providing personalized financial advice, answering questions, and addressing concerns; raise matters as appropriate while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
- Act as a point of contact for frontline staff in handling customer problems.
- Maintain professional space in common areas per marketing and regulatory guidelines.
- Work closely with existing and prospective customers to provide financial reviews, discuss portfolio updates, and suggest additional personalized solutions based on their financial goals.
- Stay knowledgeable about emerging issues, evolving regulations, and industry codes of conduct while participating in process improvement opportunities.
- Strive to achieve and improve service level agreements and productivity targets.
- Ensure documents are prepared consistent with relevant regulations and properly reflect business intentions.
- Participate fully as a team member, build a positive and diverse work environment, mentor others, and address communication issues efficiently.
- High school diploma and/or 1 year of relevant experience.
- Post‑Secondary or Undergraduate degree in related field is an asset.
- Completion of IFIC or equivalent required.
- CFSA must be completed within 12 months if hired.
- Real estate secured lending and/or investment experience an asset.
- Sound knowledge of advanced investing and credit processes, banking solutions and concepts.
- Proficiency in MS Office and internet applications.
- Tactful communicator able to exchange ideas and customer information concisely.
- A self‑initiator with strong organizational, planning and time‑management skills.
This opportunity includes a mobility clause that requires a candidate to be mobile within the assigned district. Upon completion of the training program, you will be assigned to a position compatible with your training. The timing and location of the posting will depend on your progress and the organization’s ability to assign an appropriate opportunity, which may involve a transfer and geographic relocation within your assigned region.
