Director of Care

Position: Extendicare Director of Care Role
Join Extendicare as the Director of Care, where you will lead a team dedicated to resident-centered care. This temporary position focuses on improving safety and operational compliance.

As the Director of Care, you will manage all aspects of care operations in a long-term care setting. Your leadership will directly influence residents' safety, quality of care, and team engagement. By fostering collaborative relationships, you will drive positive outcomes through quality improvement programs. This key role requires both strategic and hands-on involvement in daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cultivate a collaborative, high-performing team environment

• Ensure comprehensive training and development for staff

• Manage financial stewardship and staffing models

• Ensure compliance with all relevant health regulations

• Respond professionally to resident and family feedback

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing;
Master’s is preferred

• Current, unrestricted RN registration

• At least 5 years of nursing experience, with 2 years in leadership

• Strong knowledge of provincial long-term care regulations

• Ability to lead quality improvement initiatives
