Responsibilities- Must own and maintain a reliable vehicle and personal hand and power tools.
- Complete residential unit turns, renovations, and repairs in vacant and occupied suites, ensuring units are move-in ready and maintained to company standards.
- Read and interpret drawings, scopes of work, and project specifications to accurate execute carpentry and maintenance projects.
- Construct, repair, and install walls, flooring, door frames, windows, doors, cabinetry, drywall, trim, and other structural and finish components.
- Install subflooring, vinyl flooring, and luxury vinyl tile (LVT) while ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and replace damaged frameworks, fixtures, and building components as required.
- Performed scheduled and emergency maintenance work orders, including minor electrical and plumping repairs such as lighting, fixture, and toilet replacement.
- Collaborate effectively with maintenance team members, contractors, electricians, plumbers, and other trades to complete projects safely and efficiently.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environments while adhering to company safety standards and operational procedures.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies involving building systems and resident needs.
- Strong carpentry, renovation, and residential maintenance skills.
- Proficient in the safe use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and scopes of work.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of residential building systems, maintenance practices, and safety procedures.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform demanding manual work.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of carpentry, construction, renovation, or residential maintenance experience.
- Proven experience completing residential repairs, renovations, and unit turnovers.
- Previous experience in residential property management, maintenance, or multi-residential environments is considered an asset.
- Valid Ontario G Driver's License.
- Knowledge of Ontario Residential Tenancies legislation is considered an asset.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and successfully pass a criminal background check.
