Winn Companies is seeking an ambitious Intern to join our team at Calvin Mowbray Park and Stephen Camper Park
, a 190-unit affordable housing community located in Cambridge, MD
. This is a great opportunity to join the Pathway to Work Internship and learn career skills and money management while gaining professional experience and building your resume. You will be exposed to maintenance, construction, finance, property management, and resident services.
Pay for this role is $17.00 per hour. This is a part‑time position not eligible for benefits and will work 24 hours per week. The selected candidate will adhere to the following schedule:
Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Provide assistance with activities designed to improve the lives of Winn residents in six key outcome areas: housing, health, education, employment, and economic mobility.
- Assist in special projects supporting the department, related to the intern's professional learning goals.
- Provide additional support to the assigned property or property management leadership as needed.
- Maintain regular communication with task supervisor and placement supervisor for continuity and quality of work.
- Currently enrolled in high school or college program.
- Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Interest in affordable housing, social services, and / or community building.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people and personalities.
- Willingness to learn new concepts and software.
