Material Handler – Overview

Material Handler Summary:
Supports conveying, fabrication, and sprocket manufacturing by keeping materials stocked, removing scrap and trash, and maintaining efficient production flow.

Schedule: Monday – Thursday

Hours:

5:00AM-3:30PM

Hourly Range: $20 - $22/hour.

• Deliver raw materials, components, and consumables to workstations.
• Remove scrap metal, trash, empty bins, and packaging waste from all departments.
• Move WIP and finished parts between fabrication, machining, assembly, and shipping.
• Replenish welding wire, hardware, grinding discs, lubricants, and packaging supplies.
• Maintain point‑of‑use inventory and communicate shortages.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and overhead cranes safely.
• Support 6S and maintain clean, organized work areas.

• Manufacturing or material handling experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and walk/stand for extended periods.
• Forklift and/or crane certification (or ability to become certified).
• Strong safety awareness and communication skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced production areas and prioritize material needs.
• Basic understanding of fabrication, machining, or assembly is a plus.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and up to 25 lbs. frequently to constantly, work in a shop/production environment.

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or 6S practices.
• Must be able to constantly stand or sit for long periods of time as necessary in the work area.
