- Location: Cambridge, MD
- Duration: 3 Months
- Shift work that will include nights and weekends.
- Repair, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance related to production and engineering operations.
- Handle installation and modification of chemical processing and auxiliary equipment.
- Promote safety and organization within the maintenance department.
- Review and update Work Instructions and recommend preventative maintenance intervals.
- Execute the Preventative Maintenance Program and Monitoring and Measuring Devices Program.
- Specialize in engineering improvement construction projects with defined scope and schedule.
- Recommend spare parts inventory levels.
- Write Purchase Requisition s for necessary parts.
- Perform component rebuilds and calibrations.
- Understand and follow process flow within chemical processing equipment and perform leak checks.
- Follow all work instructions and safety protocols.
- Organize and sort information using available computer software.
- Complete all assigned training successfully.
- Participate actively on the company's emergency response (ER) team and ER entry team.
- Maintain cleanliness and shave regularly to wear a full-face tight-fitting respirator and fully encapsulated ER suit.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in the chemical industry or related to fluid systems.
- Understanding of gas (pressure) system component theory and operation.
- Ability to pass a respiratory and physical test to wear a full-face respirator.
- Fitness for duty, including lifting 50 pounds and climbing ladders.
- Ability to read and construct from a P& engineering drawing.
- Basic electronic, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills.
- General maintenance and tube bending skills.
- Effective communication skills.
