R Plant Operator II (Open)

Location: Cambridge, MD (Calgaz) – Industrial spec gas

Responsibilities
  • Fill cylinders to correct specification of contents and pressure using transfilling pressure equipment and PPM Work Order.
  • Maintain high company health and safety standards, ensuring that company rules and guidelines are adhered to.
  • Ensure company quality expectations are met; aim to satisfy customers’ demands and provide an excellent experience where possible.
  • Contribute to efficiency while maintaining health and safety rules and quality standards, ensuring company production goals and delivery targets are met.
  • Use ovens to pre‑treat cylinders where appropriate. Safe manual handling of gas cylinders.
  • Conduct daily checks on equipment.
  • Communicate any issues or non‑conformances to management and other operational departments as necessary.
  • Always aim to reach and advance the production targets set out by the Production and Planning Supervisor, while fully following procedures to maintain Health and Safety and Quality standards.
  • Follow Start‑Up and Shut‑Down Procedures.
  • Follow all Safety and Work Site Policies.
Qualifications
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment or equivalent preferred.
  • Attention to detail and ability to accurately follow a process are essential.
  • Possess a full range of motion; ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • A chemical background would also be desirable.
  • Ability to work both individually and promote a team environment across departments and shifts.
  • Flexibility with respect to shifts and overtime, with a customer focused approach to meet demand.
  • Ability to understand and comply with the established Quality System and report any quality deficiencies.
  • Ability to understand and comply with all safety regulations and guidelines while on company and/or customer property.
  • Ability to be on his or her feet for extended periods.
  • Computer savvy including Intelex, MS Word, MS Excel, Google, etc.
