• ANursingdegreefromanaccreditedcollegeoruniversity.
• Currentunrestrictedlicenseasa Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) inpracticingstate.
• CurrentCPRcertification.
• Directsthedailyactivitiesofthegeriatricnursingassistantsbycurrentfederal,stateandlocalregulationsandguidelinesandestablishedfacilitypoliciesandprocedures.
• Participatesintheadmission,discharge,andtransfersofresidentsasrequired.
• Assessesforchangesinresidents’status,notifyingthephysicianandresident’sfamilyorrepresentativeanddocumentingaccordingly.
• Transcribesphysicianorderstomedicalrecordandcarriesoutordersaswritten.
• Preparesandadministersmedicationsasperphysicians’ordersandobservesforadverseeffectsasindicated.
• Performswoundtreatmentsasperphysicians’orders,observesforchangesanddocumentsaccordinglyasindicated.
