The main purpose of this part‑time contractual position is to provide comprehensive school nursing services to students and staff of Dorchester County Public Schools.

• Medication administration
• Skilled nursing treatments
• Age‑appropriate health screenings
• Assessment and care of the sick or injured
• Health record maintenance
• Immunization reviews
• Case management of chronic health concerns
• Care plan development
• Multidisciplinary team participation

• Education:
  
  A Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.

Experience:

None.

Notes:

• Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing.
• May be assigned duties that require operation of a motor vehicle; must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.

Contractual employees working 30 or more hours a week (or averaging 130 hours per month) may be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage for themselves and their dependents. The employee pays 25% of premiums for medical and prescription coverage; the State of Maryland subsidizes 75%. Optional dental, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and life insurance are available at full employee cost.

Leave: one hour for every 30 hours worked, not to exceed 40 hours per calendar year.
