Field Service Technician

In this position you will be part of a Field Service Team, working as an experienced welder/fabricator responsible for performing on-site installation and repair of metal products at customer locations. This role is ideal for a creative, hands-on individual that thrives on problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

$25 to $30 Base Pay

Plus - Hourly Travel Modifier, Travel Per Diem for Lodging and Meals,

Overtime, and Double Time for any hours over 60 worked in a week.

Cambridge, Maryland and at Customer locations throughout the Eastern U.S. and Eastern Canada

• Provide on-site installation and/or repair of metal products at customer locations.
• Fabricate, weld, and solder architectural and industrial metal products.
• Fabricate and install pin seams on synthetic process conveyor belts.
• Operate drills, band saws, hand powered shears, sanders, grinders, various hand tools, and product specific equipment.
• Assist in other production areas as based on workload and the needs of the Company.

• 3-5 years of experience in the fabrication and/or servicing of industrial process conveyor belts. Experience in TIG, Plasma, MIG and soldering stainless steel. AWS certification in one or more of the above processes desired.
• Demonstrated ability to competently use all hand and power tools common to sheet metal and light structural framing fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and parts lists, and independently fabricate items to all drawing requirements.
• Must be able to travel for multi-day overnight trips and on-call emergency dispatch.
• Willingness to abide by all company work and safety policies.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport.
• Good physical health with ability to climb and work in heavy industrial environments with temperature extremes.

Monday - Friday & 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
, 50% - 60%

Travel (East Coast and Eastern Canada), 40% - 50%

On call rotation as needed outside normal business hours
