About the Role:

Wise Minds Therapeutic Services LLC is seeking dynamic Community-Based One-to-One Support Staff to provide direct supervision, mentoring, and behavioral support to youth in out-of-home care across the Lower Eastern Shore. This role focuses on ensuring the safety, stability, and emotional well-being of each youth while supporting the development of social, coping, and independent living skills. Staff will work under the direction of clinical leadership and care coordination teams to implement individualized service plans.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Direct Support & Supervision:
    Provide one-to-one supervision and support to youth in home, school, and community settings
  • Direct Support & Supervision:
    Model appropriate social, coping, and communication skills
  • Direct Support & Supervision:
    Assist youth in developing independence, emotional regulation, and daily living skills
  • Direct Support & Supervision:
    Accompany youth to appointments, activities, and community-based programs as needed
  • Direct Support & Supervision:
    Maintain professional boundaries using a trauma-informed approach
  • Behavioral & Clinical Support:
    Implement individualized behavioral strategies based on service plans
  • Behavioral & Clinical Support:
    Participate in crisis prevention and de-escalation interventions
  • Behavioral & Clinical Support:
    Monitor and document behavioral progress and daily activities
  • Behavioral & Clinical Support:
    Communicate regularly with supervisors regarding youth progress and concerns
  • Behavioral & Clinical Support:
    Reinforce positive behaviors and support youth during emotional challenges
  • Documentation & Compliance:
    Complete service notes, progress reports, and timesheets accurately and timely
  • Documentation & Compliance:
    Maintain confidentiality and comply with DHS, COMAR, and agency standards
  • Documentation & Compliance:
    Participate in supervision, team meetings, and required trainings
Requirements
  • 21+ years old with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • High School Diploma/GED + 2 years experience OR Associate’s degree + 1 year in human services
  • Experience working with at-risk youth, foster care, or behavioral health populations preferred
  • Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Must pass CJIS background check, CPS clearance, and sex offender registry screening
Training & Certification Requirements
  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Crisis Prevention & Intervention (CPI) or equivalent
  • Trauma-Informed Care Training
  • Mandated Reporter Training
  • HIPAA / Confidentiality Compliance
  • DHS-required onboarding and orientation
Ongoing Professional Development
  • All staff must complete a minimum of two (2) in-service trainings annually, including topics such as:
  • Child Safety
  • De-escalation Techniques
  • Youth Engagement Strategies
  • Executive Skills Coaching
Schedule & Compensation

Flexible scheduling (day, evening, and weekend shifts based on youth needs)
• Salary: $20 - $25 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
