Petroleum Delivery Driver
The Petroleum Delivery Driver position requires an individual to safely drive a propane delivery vehicle to customer locations. This position also requires someone with a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward Safety, Sales, customer Service and Employee Teamwork. Making deliveries in all types of weather and conditions. Overtime is possible in the heating season.
This seasonal position runs approximately 6 months each year, from October through March.

Duties & Responsibilities- Achieve delivery objectives set forth by the local District Manager.
- Inspect vehicle daily and report any problems in accordance with company policy and DOT regulations.
- Safely drive a propane delivery vehicle to customer locations.
- Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward Safety, Sales, Customer Service, and Employee Teamwork.
- Prior gas delivery experience helpful.
- Hold CDL with Hazmat, tanker, and air brakes endorsements.
- Work outdoors in various weather and driving conditions.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with existing and potential customers.
- Be flexible to work outside of the basic job description.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
- Desire to succeed and advance in a team environment.
- Pass pre‑employment DOT physical, drug test, and Homeland Security Background Check.
- Good interpersonal skills and willingness to take direction from plant manager.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
- Minimum 2-year CDL license.
- Employees must be capable of frequently lifting 50 pounds.
The job operates in the field and involves driving a company vehicle and entering customers’ homes or places of business. The employee is occasionally exposed to small working spaces, fumes, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and extreme weather conditions. An excellent and positive attitude toward the customer is essential.
Qualifications- High school diploma.
- At least two years of work‑related experience.
- Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds regularly.
Load, secure, transport, deliver, and unload propane to and from specified destinations. Inspect vehicle and notify supervisor of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance. Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulations and company procedures. Operate truck per established safety procedures. Engage in daily interaction with customers and provide exceptional customer service, supplying service information and answering inquiries. Assist with sales initiatives.
Perform responsibilities in on‑call rotation for after‑hours and weekend emergency deliveries or responses. Ensure all DOT requirements are met at all times. Perform other duties as assigned, including yard and plant maintenance or dock work.
