We are a Cambridge, MA based property management firm with a portfolio of five rental apartment properties and one commercial property across four states.
We are seeking a highly motivated Accountant to join our team.
Our firm offers a flexible hybrid work schedule. The role requires approximately 25–35 hours per week, including two days per week in our office near Central Square in Cambridge. Full-time or Part-time;
Hybrid.
- Processing bi-weekly payroll for 30+ employees including subsequent invoice creation.
- Set up new employees in ADP and complete background checks.
- Organize and maintain employee files.
- Quarterly reconciliation of employee benefit time.
- Daily cash monitoring for all properties and related entities including recording of manual payments in general ledger.
- Payable processing for all properties and related entities including vendor maintenance.
- Creation of annual 1099 forms for contractors.
- Filing regulatory reports with HUD and other entities.
- Assist with year-end close process and audit.
- Maintain organized electronic files.
- Support other accounting functions and duties, as necessary.
- 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with Realpage, One Site or similar property management software is a plus.
