The Senior Specialist, Payroll Accounting – North America will support the North America Payroll team by ensuring the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll and related payroll accounting activities. This position works closely with Payroll, Human Resources and Finance to maintain payroll transactions, compliance and accurate financial reporting.

• Process end‑to‑end payroll for 700+ hourly and salaried employees across the U.S. and Canada.
• Review & reconcile payroll transactions, HR system changes, earnings, deductions, taxes and benefits.
• Prepare and post payroll‑related journal entries, general ledger interface files and monthly accruals.
• Perform monthly payroll account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close activities by providing payroll accounting and reporting support.
• Maintain payroll records, files and supporting documentation in accordance with audit and compliance requirements.
• Assist with internal and external audits and respond to payroll‑related inquiries.
• Participate in payroll, HRIS and Finance projects, identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls and efficiency.
• Serve as backup for Payroll Manager responsibilities during absences.
• Perform other payroll and accounting‑related duties as assigned.

• 3+ years of hands‑on payroll processing with hourly and exempt employees.
• 3+ years preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.
• 1+ year experience with ADP, preferably Workforce Now.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLookup, IF, Pivot Tables).
• BA/BS in Accounting, Business or related field.

• Team‑oriented with willingness to collaborate and share ideas.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex technical material in a non‑technical manner.
• CPP / CPA certification.

• Annual base salary range: $75,000 to $110,000.
• Eligibility for short‑term incentive program.
