How will your role make an impact at Aera Therapeutics? Reporting to the Director, Finance and Accounting, you will provide day-to-day support and administration of various accounting and finance processes, including accounts payables, purchasing, expense reimbursement, month and quarterly close, and yearly audits. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of accounting principles and is looking to expand their real world experience in the life sciences / biotech industry.

• Oversee end-to-end payment process; prepare and review weekly payment reports, initiate online bank portal submission for the weekly check run.
• Administer month-end close of accounts payable and assist with identifying month-end accruals.
• Resolve any account discrepancies through investigation of supporting documentation and direct communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Retrieve, organize, and maintain vendor forms, ensuring full compliance with 1099 reporting.
• Review employee expense reimbursements for policy compliance, reconcile discrepancies with employees in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and journal entries as needed.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
• Provide support and guidance to the independent public accountants in connection with the year-end audits.
• Effectively manage vendor and partner relationships.
• Support Finance team with ad hoc projects and participate in finance discussions and monthly close meetings.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with 1-2 years of industry experience.
• Net Suite experience (or other ERP).
• Ability to translate financial concepts to individuals at all levels, including finance and non‑finance managers.

The approximate salary range for this role is $75,000 - $84,000.
