Program Office Front Desk Assistant
The Program Office Front Desk Assistant serves as the first point of contact for students, staff, faculty, and visitors. This role combines customer-facing service with administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations and successful events.
Job Details (Part-Time Role)- Schedule:
20 hours per week - Typical hours:
Monday–Thursday, 10:00 am – 3:30 pm (with 30-minute lunch) - Flexible shift options: 9:00 am – 2:30 pm or later shift; coverage required from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
- Compensation:
Up to $25/hour
- Welcome and assist visitors, students, staff, and faculty in a professional and friendly manner
- Manage incoming phone calls, respond to questions, and direct inquiries appropriately
- Provide administrative support including meeting setup, space management, and financial processing
- Assist with program events by coordinating catering, preparing materials, managing registrations, and supporting on-site check-in
- Track and process peer tutor timesheets in collaboration with the tutoring manager
- Previous experience in a front desk, administrative, or customer-facing role
- Familiarity with office support functions such as scheduling, data entry, or event coordination
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Experience supporting events in higher education or professional environments
- Exposure to financial processing or student services functions
- Administrative experience related to tutoring or academic program support
