A school for music, part of a University in Cambridge, is seeking a highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant to support the President’s Office in a hybrid role based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This full-time position offers an estimated pay range of $60,000 to $65,000 and provides a fast‑paced environment where you’ll play a key role in managing executive schedules, facilitating communication, and supporting important organizational initiatives.
You’ll work closely with school leadership, gain high visibility, and contribute to meaningful work within a mission‑focused community.
- In-person, 3 days a week (typically Tuesday-Thursday) from 9am to 5pm, with occasional exceptions
- Be at the core of high‑level decision‑making, supporting trusted leadership in a prestigious institution
- Play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations, calendar management, and executive communication

- Manage and prioritize the calendars of the President and COO, arranging meetings and preparing briefing materials
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, handling correspondence and inquiries
- Draft and coordinate communications, agendas, and supporting documents for meetings and events
- Provide administrative support for board meetings, supporter acknowledgments, and school events
- Support the President’s Office with organizational tasks and maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across departments, including student groups and the development team
- Proven experience managing complex calendars and supporting multiple executives
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to exercise discretion and judgment in handling confidential information
- Demonstrated proactive approach and ability to adapt to different leadership communication styles
- Experience supporting leadership in educational or non‑profit environments
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic setting
