Posting Description

EVENTS COORDINATOR, ADMISSIONS, Sloan Admissions - Sloan School of Management, will provide support to ensure that all virtual, on campus, and worldwide annual recruiting and conversion events run smoothly on behalf of the Admissions Team. The Event Coordinator will plan events for MBA, Early MBA, Sloan Fellows MBA (SFMBA), Master of Business Analytics (MBAn), Master of Finance (MFin), and MSMS programs.

Specifically, they will plan the logistics and coordinate execution for all Admissions recruiting events; organize and facilitate Zoom sessions for virtual recruitment/informational webinars; develop reports in SLATE (admissions CRM/application system) that will be used to track event attendance and attendee conversion and that will be used in future planning; develop system communication plans; manage all content for pre-event and post-event emails for events both on and off campus;

represent MIT Sloan Admissions within the MIT community and at events virtually and worldwide, including Sloan on the Road (SOTR), MFin/MBAn/SFMBA info sessions, and fairs; and provide customer service to all applicants and prospective students.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of two years of experience in events planning or project/program management
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong project management skills including setting priorities, meeting deadlines, and managing budgets
  • Multi-tasking related to managing a portfolio of projects from various partners simultaneously
  • Outstanding oral and written presentation skills
  • Self-motivation and a relentless desire to learn
  • Ability to work nights and weekends
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time
  • Discretion and sound judgement
  • Minimum of two years of work experience in academic administration (preferred)
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (preferred)
