Position:
Clerk (40 Hours/Week, 12 Months) – Office of Student Services, Cambridge Public Schools, Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Job Description

The Office of Student Services (OSS) provides a variety of supports and services to students in Cambridge Public Schools (CPS). The Clerk works across all four OSS divisions, ensuring equitable access and success for all students.

Responsibilities
  • Process Annual Reviews and Reevaluations for missing documentation.
  • Issue notices and follow up with team chairs regarding IEP documentation.
  • Assist in scanning, uploading, and maintaining student records related to Annual Reviews, Reevaluations, 504 documents, and rejected IEPs.
  • Manage in‑district summer transportation set‑up.
  • Manage OSE translations and interpreter services (Bay State).
  • Ensure quality customer service by greeting families and staff in person and/or on the telephone, answering and referring inquiries.
  • Work cooperatively with co‑workers and supervisors to achieve OSS goals.
  • Support the OSS Executive Director in carrying out office duties.
  • Perform other duties and accept responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in an office or clerical environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with Special Education/Educational Systems processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data management systems required.
  • Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to produce accurate and thorough work.
  • Ability to analyze issues to provide effective problem resolution.
