CNSP Events Planner 2
CNSP Events Planner 2, Center for Nuclear Security Policy at the Security Studies Program (SSP), to provide administrative support and coordinate high-profile events, meetings, and seminars for SSP's Center for Nuclear Security Policy (CNSP). Will support CNSP Faculty Director and interact with high-level visitors, including senior members of the military and government organizations, and perform complex and diverse clerical, administrative, and financial duties in support of faculty, fellows, and research staff.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years of experience; demonstrated success planning and implementing events; ability to coordinate several events and projects simultaneously; strong organizational, project management, analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and written and verbal communication skills; meticulous attention to detail; technical proficiency with MS Office/Outlook and willingness to learn new programs and software as needed; ability to learn and master financial systems;
and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team; and be a highly motivated individual who exhibits excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when working with visitors. Preferred:
Experience with in a college/university setting; MIT experience; or experience with systems and tools used at MIT such as Atlas, Concur, SAP, Coupa, Zoom, and Slack.
May be required to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed. A cover letter is required. This is a hybrid position that requires a minimum of one day per week.
