Job DetailsThe Emergency Department Unit Secretary assists with the flow of patients in the Emergency Department. Works as a partner with other members of ED staff. Responsible for answering phones, contacting consult services, interacting with patients, families, and other CHA staff; stocking supplies, preparing for computer downtime and other duties as assigned. Able to work in a fast-paced, high stress area. Needs to be self-directed and personally responsible for the work that is done.
Qualifications/ExperienceHigh School graduate
Knowledge and comfort with electronic medical record, customer service experience and ability to work in a busy stressful environment. Medical terminology and Emergency Department experience.
Previous Unit Secretary or administrative assistant experience strongly preferred.
