Grants & Giving Coordinator
Location:
Cambridge, MA
Duration: 6+ months
This role manages funding requests, customer service, due diligence, risk identification, budget review, payments, reconciliations, and data integrity in the GMSG platform. Responsibilities include running reports, updating internal tools, managing the GMSG Hotline and Mailbox, maintaining electronic records, and participating in special projects. The coordinator oversees an assigned Sponsorship portfolio, evaluating proposals against criteria and managing request routing.
Principal Accountabilities- Prepare request packages, conduct due diligence, and route requests with recommendations.
- Escalate risks, follow up on outstanding items, update review tools, investigate data issues, and manage system records.
- Process funding notifications, manage agreements and payments, and perform reconciliations.
- Manage the Grants & Giving Hotline and team mailbox.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1-4 years' experience in audit, data quality, grants, operations, account management, or customer service
- 1-3 years' experience in pharmaceutical or biotech preferred
- Ability to learn and apply institutional guidelines (PhRMA, ACCME, OIG)
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented
- Proficient in MS Excel
- Legal/compliance background is a plus
- Strong reading comprehension and analysis skills
