Associate Director, Neuroscience Operations – Ipsen Biopharmaceuticals Inc.
The Associate Director, Neuroscience Operations, is responsible for understanding data needs across stakeholders and working with cross‑functional partners to deliver dashboards and reports that improve performance monitoring and timely generation of business insights. Reporting to the Director of Operations & Strategy for Neuroscience, the Associate Director plays a major role in meeting brand strategic objectives, impacting sales planning, execution, and overall operation of the business unit.
MainResponsibilities & Technical Competencies
- Support execution of projects in partnership with the Neuroscience Leadership team to position the BU successfully in a rapidly evolving landscape.
- Identify stakeholder needs for key performance indicators, sales data and field activity data.
- Partner with Business Operations & Strategy to provide data‑driven insights that improve decision‑making processes.
- Manage monthly performance reporting processes for Neuroscience in collaboration with BOS and Finance partners.
- Manage internal, cross‑functional quarterly business reviews with Medical and V&A colleagues, focusing on metrics and insights.
- Track and prioritize data requests across the BU, communicating availability of reports and data sources internally to enable shared understanding of performance at national and regional levels.
- Collaborate with Neuroscience Brand & Field teams to develop pipelines and workflows that enhance the effectiveness of data sharing.
- Lead data working group to ensure reporting and data availability meet team needs.
- Assist in brand and tactical planning in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
- Assist in preparation of POA meetings, cross‑functional meetings, leadership off‑sites and team‑building events.
- Collaborate with the training team on the creation and execution of new resources and development programs.
- Work closely with Operations leads from Oncology and Rare Disease business units to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation within the Neuroscience Business Unit.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all key stakeholders, internal and external.
- Ensure timely and accurate execution of ad‑hoc requests by executive leadership.
- Oversee the effective communication process for the Neuroscience sales team.
- Support and implement continuous process improvements across all US commercial functions.
- Customer & Patient Focus: Build strong customer/patient relationships and deliver customer‑centric solutions, echoing the patient voice through all touchpoints.
- Business Insights: Apply knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance organizational goals, translating data into actionable objectives.
- Excellence in Execution: Plan and prioritize work to meet commitments, maintaining clarity on goals, accountabilities, timelines and next steps.
- Communication Effectiveness: Develop and deliver clear, multi‑mode communications that resonate with diverse audiences, using visual storytelling to convey key outcomes.
- Influence: Use compelling arguments to gain support from stakeholders and balance multiple interests, listening actively and reflecting insights.
- BA/BS degree required.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience, including 5 years of pharma/biotech industry experience with a breadth of knowledge in Sales/Marketing and Finance, or equivalent education and experience.
- Ability to work with multiple internal cross‑functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
- Demonstrated track record of success in project management and producing results as a team and/or individual contributor.
- Experience operating within strict compliance to all regulatory guidelines to design and execute business‑impactful tactics, programs and tools.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically; preference for hybrid work from Cambridge, MA regional headquarters.
- Advanced degree (e.g., MBA).
- At least 3 years of Management or Strategy Consulting experience within Life Sciences or Pharma/Biotech practice.
