Overview
Position: Senior Staffing Consultant at Amtec Inc.
Pay rate range: $28.00/hr
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00am or 8:00am start time
Duration: Temporary position
Note:
This position requires a resource with a reliable vehicle to travel between client sites. Travel to Waltham, MA and Watertown, MA may be required.
- Performs all duties associated with operations of Site Services.
- Requires traveling to customer sites.
- Coordinates and leads team efforts and performs work related to customer requirements.
- Works closely with management to complete projects such as Standard Operating Procedures, Scopes of Work, Standard Work, On-The-Job Training, and other tasks with direct customer interfacing relative to job functions.
- Interfaces with customer points of contact, purchasing directors, facility directors and plant managers to procure lab supplies and materials.
- Utilizes Avantor and customer computer systems: SAP, Inventory Manager, Chemical Manager and/or other customer-specific applications.
- Trains Avantor Lab and Production Services associates on all service offerings.
- Provides SAP support (full customer services, credit rebills, invoice scrubbing).
- Modifies and maintains quality metrics and key performance indicators.
- Manages a budget related to expense reports.
- Meets revenue, TOE, safety, performance and quality goals and objectives.
- Creates programs for enhanced service efficiency.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required;
Associate degree or undergraduate degree in business or science-related field is a plus. - 3-5+ years of experience in inventory control/procurement/shipping and receiving/inside sales, etc. a plus.
- IATA, DOT, OSHA Right to Know, IMDG a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and transportation required; CDL a plus.
- Prior experience with VWR/Avantor products and services a plus.
- Cross-referencing and inside sales experience a plus.
- Must be able to travel outside of primary based state up to 50% of the time.
Skills and Abilities
- Conform to all customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, security clearances and medical checkups.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems; proficient Microsoft Office and computer skills.
- Knowledge of procurement/inventory management systems and procedures.
- Ability to perform duties with the highest regard for safety, quality, and site protocols/policies/procedures.
- Must be exceedingly flexible, forward-thinking, motivated, and able to act independently.
Typically works in an office with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.
Work assignments are diversified. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems. A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on a routine basis. Physical effort is required; work may involve walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 50 lbs.
