About This Role

This is a hybrid position that requires in-person workdays weekly at our headquarters in Cambridge, MA. The Director, Integrated Insights & Analytics Lead - Rare Disease is a therapeutic area‑facing role that enables data‑driven decisions and proactively delivers actionable insights. The position allows you to shape the Rare Disease cross‑functional team, a top priority for Biogen North America, laying the groundwork for processes that can be scaled across other brand teams.

What

You’ll Do
  • Lead and manage the relationship with the Franchise Leadership Team in support of the insights lead.
  • Drive the insights agenda: scope, lead, and deliver brand projects across core insights functions, including market research, forecasting support, competitive intelligence, brand analytics, and field analytics.
  • Be a subject‑matter expert in forecasting, patient analytics, market research, and behavioral science, disrupting the thinking and introspection of brand performance.
  • Deliver high quality ad hoc analyses that offer clear recommendations to drive brand strategy.
  • Provide actionable insights to key stakeholders for short‑term resource allocation decisions and long‑term strategy development.
  • Collaborate with Advanced Analytics, Orchestration, Business Intelligence and Operations teams to support brand execution initiatives.
  • Lead Integrated Customer Plan (ICP) and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) to provide commercial teams with comprehensive performance, target‑audience, and market insights.
  • Cultivate strong relationships and effective ways of working within the MS Marketing team.
  • Pursue novel research methodologies that offer new capabilities and ways to optimize project efficiency.
  • Partner with leadership to ensure key business decisions are data/fact‑based and to drive innovation in analytics and business execution.

  • Excellent communication: deliver information succinctly in verbal and written communication for executive audiences.
  • High partner‑function orientation: acts as a thought partner to marketing, sales and other functional teams.
  • Collaboration:

    gather required information for analyses and act as a value‑added cross‑functional partner.
  • Deals well with ambiguity and intensity: operates in fast‑paced, senior‑leadership‑driven environment.
  • Independence: manage workload with limited guidance and scope priorities independently.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of relevant experience with a life sciences company or consulting firm supporting the healthcare industry; consulting background strongly preferred.
  • Rare Disease experience highly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of commercial business and industry standard datasets (IQVIA, Symphony, Specialty Pharmacies, Managed Care).
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Job level: management.
Additional Information

Base compensation range: $196,000 – $270,000. Regular employees eligible for short‑term and long‑term incentives, including cash bonus and equity.
