Korn Ferry is partnering with a leading global biopharmaceutical organization on a confidential search for a Senior Director, Commercial Strategy & Operations. This leader will serve as a key strategic partner to senior commercial leadership, driving enterprise priorities, governance, transformation initiatives, and execution across a multi-brand, multi-therapeutic area organization. We’re seeking a commercially minded leader who combines strategic rigor, operational discipline, and executive presence.
This is a unique opportunity to work directly with senior executive leadership, shape the future operating model of a major North American commercial organization, and influence strategic decisions that impact business growth and patient outcomes.
The role is based in Cambridge, MA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Key responsibilities:- Leading development and execution of multi-year commercial strategy and annual planning processes.
- Driving cross-functional strategic initiatives, organizational transformation efforts, and operating model
- Establishing governance frameworks, executive forums, and performance management processes that improve business effectiveness.
- Supporting executive leadership communications, business reviews, and enterprise-level strategic discussions.
- Partnering across commercial, finance, analytics, market access, and development teams to advance business priorities and commercialization readiness.
- Supporting launch planning, commercialization strategy, and integration of new assets where appropriate.
- 12+ years of experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Deep understanding of commercial operations, strategy, and the U.S. pharmaceutical market.
- Experience in strategy consulting, commercial strategy, launch readiness, commercialization, organizational design, or operating model transformation preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead through a matrixed environment.
- Strong executive communication, problem-solving, and change leadership skills.
