Who we are looking for
The team is responsible for developing and launching new data products derived from State Street and third‑party data to create value for the company and its customers. The team conducts research, generates product ideas, defines requirements and roadmaps, collaborates with internal teams to bring products to market, tracks performance against KPIs, and iterates on solutions.
We are seeking a Product Development Analyst, Assistant Vice President to drive the development roadmap forward and launch new data products. The role requires market research, technical collaboration, product design, and stakeholder engagement to build and deliver data‑driven solutions.
Responsibilities- Conduct market research to identify trends, client needs, and opportunities for new data products.
- Assist in developing product requirements, user stories, and specifications.
- Collaborate with data engineers and technology teams to design, prototype, and build data products and analytics tools, gathering user feedback and iterating solutions.
- Integrate and manage State Street proprietary and vendor data, ensuring data quality and reliability.
- Implement research data products, such as investor behavior and risk indicators, in partnership with the State Street Markets Research team.
- Maintain existing data products and support client deliverables.
- Maintain documentation of product features, data models, and user guidelines.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitive products, and emerging technologies related to data intelligence.
- Strong computer programming skill, preferably Python and PL/SQL.
- Hands‑on experience processing, manipulating, and analyzing large datasets for quantitative research, product development, or client services.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work effectively, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present findings and collaborate across teams.
- Self‑motivated, fast learner who proactively identifies opportunities and drives solutions forward.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, data science, science and engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 3‑5 years of experience in quantitative research, product development, data analytics, or investment‑related roles.
- Experience working with financial market data, including public and private market datasets.
Salary Range: $175,000 – $175,000 Annual. The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location, the applicable range could differ.
