About the Role
Construction Manager – Substation Projects (1‑year W‑2 contract). This role is based in Juno Beach, FL, with a per diem available. The Manager will review completed substation projects, report successes and lessons learned, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement. Key focus areas include safety, compliance with regulations, coordination of engineering and contracting activities, and documentation of project performance.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a safe work environment near equipment energized at hazardous voltage levels.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Communicate effectively with direct reports to enhance teamwork and resolve issues.
- Utilize computer skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word, Project) and specialized substation construction software.
- Support commissioning efforts through energization processes.
- Perform inspections, maintain QA/QC documents, and audit construction quality to ensure adherence to standards and specifications.
- Maintain open communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders throughout the project.
- Maintain detailed records of construction activities, progress reports, and safety inspections.
- Lead construction activities, monitor tasks, provide feedback, and resolve conflicts.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical schematics, mechanical, civil, and steel structural drawings.
- Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations and practices, with the ability to identify and mitigate hazards.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise during construction to keep the project on track.
- Familiarity with concrete work, flat foundations, drill piers, breaker pads, and GSU containment pits.
- Experience working with EPC to resolve RFIs and change orders.
- Experience performing material procurement and material take‑offs.

Estimated base salary range: $58.00/hr. to $63.00/hr, dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills.
