Who we're looking for
We are looking for talented, creative and positive team players to join our highly-skilled Cross-Functional Product and Engineering Team to help design new features for our iOS, Android and Apple watch applications and third-party integrations (Garmin, Strava, Coros, Suunto etc). You will work closely with our founders, engineers, PM and most importantly customers, to help shape the future of Runna, who will be there to support you all the way along this exciting journey.
As a Senior Product Designer your role will to be involved in the full end-to-end product delivery from research to going live. You will be reporting directly to Dom (Co-Founder and CEO). You'll also be managing one of our incredible Product Designers based in New York and working closely with our amazing UI/UX Design Lead who's based in London. We are continuing to hire out our design function in the US as part of our overall US expansion - we want designers that (1) really understand our target user and market (2) are able to effectively conduct user research with our target users, on their time zone and (3) understand and are users of our app, our partners, competitors and the wider US running industry.
As such, we are currently only open to US-based applicants for this role! Finally, Runna is growing incredibly quickly and we reinvest all of our profits into building a better product. As such the design team will be scaling quickly over the coming months and years and we’d expect you to play a pivotal role in this; from getting involved with hiring to helping set the design culture and practices!

Responsibilities- Working with the whole team as well as our amazing customers to discover and prioritise user's needs across their journey
- Conduct user testing sessions and incorporate feedback into your work
- Help improve Runna's user research and user testing processes, working with the other designers and PMs
- Be a voice for Design within the company
- Work with Product and create solutions / customer journeys for complex design problems
- Illustrate design ideas using user flows, prototypes and wireframes in Figma
- Collaborate with developers to handover designs and ensure great interaction
- Continue to iterate and develop our design library in Figma
- Have worked with consumer/start-up/mobile apps before
- Have worked with React Native teams before and understand the design implications
- Have worked on smartwatch interface design
- Have an interest or background in fitness, running or health
- Have spent hours reading case studies from (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below)./
We offer a salary of $120,000 - $150,000 (depending on experience), plus equity of Runna stock options. We'll be growing our package of benefits over time. We currently offer:
