Talent Pool for Adjunct Faculty – First Year Composition

Position Type:
Part-time, adjunct
Compensation: $800 - $950 per credit, based on adjunct faculty rank (determined by education and experience)
Location: NHTI Concord’s Community College, Concord NH

Overview:

NHTI is building a pool of qualified adjunct faculty candidates across various disciplines to fulfill future instructional needs. Joining this pool offers an opportunity to teach courses that provide students with essential knowledge in College Composition.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education:
    Master’s degree in English, Composition or a relevant field.
  • Experience:
    At least two years of teaching experience at the college level, preferably in an undergraduate writing course.
  • Desired qualifications:
    Excellent communication skills, Familiarity with Canvas (or similar LMS), ability to teach other courses in Communications or Literature.
  • Residency:
    Must reside in NH, VT, ME, MA, RI, or CT.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Course Delivery:
    Provide instruction using curricula aligned with department and program standards.
  • Student Engagement:
    Foster active learning through discussions, assignments, and assessments.
  • Assessment & Feedback:
    Evaluate student performance, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records of student progress.
  • Professional Development:
    Stay current in your field and adhere to institutional policies and guidelines.
