Description of Service Opportunity
The Summer Building Coordinator will be the district’s primary point of contact for building operations, responsible for supporting all of the independently‑run summer programs in their assigned buildings, encompassing between 125
-250 students.
Under the direction of the CPS Operations Manager, the Summer Building Coordinator will be part of a collaborative team in their buildings, which includes the summer program leads, building custodians, City of Cambridge Department of Human Service Programs staff, and City of Cambridge Public Health Personnel.

Create shared procedures for all summer building users, including: daily attendance, staff parking, schedules for the use of shared spaces, and arrival and dismissal procedures for students - Meet with all program leads assigned to their building before the start of the summer programs, to tour permitted spaces and communicate building procedures.
- Complete all pre‑summer orientation and training meetings, including transportation, meals training, and summer safety procedures.

Responsible for day to day building operations management that ensures the well being of staff and students in all programs as well as the responsible use of CPS facilities. - Maintaining a master roster of all programs and students assigned to their building, including staff, students, emergency contact information and room locations.
- Coordinating safe and orderly arrival and dismissal procedures in collaboration with summer program leaders and CPS district staff.
- Manager of the daily breakfast and lunch distribution for students, responsible for receipt of meal deliveries and completing necessary documentation for federal funding.
- Collaborate with district leadership and health staff to ensure compliance with safety protocols, including COVID safety procedures.
- Collaborate with district staff on all other building safety and logistics as required.
- Motivated, detail oriented, and responsible individual.
- At least 2 years of experience working in an operations role in a school or out of school time environment.
- Candidates must be available for all program dates.
- Familiarity with CPS preferred.

Contract AmountNot exceed $9100.00
Hourly RatePlease note that your hourly rate is dependent upon your collective bargaining agreement or individual hourly rate. If you are a non‑exempt employee and have worked more than 40 hours a week, you will be paid time and a half for any hours worked over 40 hours.
