TO APPLY
The special education department is seeking Extended School Year (ESY) Coordinators to assist the Director of Special Education, school-based directors, and evaluation team leaders with organizing, staffing and correspondence for ESY programs and tutoring. These individuals will directly oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the ESY special education summer program. ESY Coordinators will ensure that all children and families with special needs receive optimal developmentally-appropriate educational experiences.
ESY Coordinators, under the Director of Special Education, will implement students' Individual Education Plans (IEP). This position will serve to support the organization with comprehensive case management of all students participating in the special education program to ensure their academic and developmental progress.
General Responsibilities- Coordinate ESY schedules and transportation services
- Oversee day-to-day operations, supervise ESY staff, and track staff and student attendance
- Participate in program planning and scheduling of the Extended School Year program
- Execute implementation of the Extended School Year program
- Communicate with families regarding all aspects of ESY
- Recruit, interview, and train support staff for program as well as facilitate staff orientation and provide materials necessary for proper implementation
- Use information and data from a variety of sources to understand students' developmental and instructional needs and to improve teaching and learning for all children
- Work with the related service providers and ESY staff, such as therapists and social workers, to maximize the professionals' impact with identified special education students
- Perform other duties as assigned
Programs run from July 1 - August 6, 2026
Hours & Compensation: TBD
Position Type: Part-Time
Salary: $45 to $60 Per Hour
