The Opportunity
Lesley University always welcomes applications for adjunct faculty to teach upcoming daytime or evening classes for our Interdisciplinary programs. Subject areas in this department include Capstone and Internship courses. Courses in this department are either taught in-person or remotely depending on the specific class.
Course
Description:
Interdisciplinary Capstone: In these problem-based, transdisciplinary courses, students engage with others and reflect on learning through exciting community projects and real issues facing today's world. Courses include:
Active Hope
, Climate Justice Leadership
, Public Space & The Politics of Representation
, among others.
Internship: Internship courses cover aspects of each student's professional development in interdisciplinary studies. Course content includes identification and development of career research resources, introduction to networking skills, and development of portfolio, resume, and cover letters with the goal to identify and pursue high-quality internship experiences.
Since adjunct faculty positions are ongoing, evergreen positions, your materials will remain on file and will be reviewed on an as-needed basis throughout the upcoming semesters. By submitting your application, you will be put into consideration for current and future Interdisciplinary adjunct positions. We hire adjunct faculty on a regular cadence to support our Fall, Spring, and Summer terms. The specific course hired for is subject to change depending on semester, course catalog, and department need.

Qualities & Capabilities
Required:
- Master's degree in a related field
- Successful experience teaching in the particular discipline at the undergraduate level
- Experience in constructivist, inquiry-based learning with an emphasis on student engagement
- PhD or equivalent terminal degree in a related field
