This role is for the Latin Jazz Band at Amigos School. This is a specific position for the Strings Teacher.

The Latin Jazz Band is an after‑school VPA formal program where students are exposed to a variety of jazz styles, learn improvisation skills, and perform as a large ensemble for concerts and events.

The goal of the jazz band is to learn:

• Improvisation
• Develop rehearsal and practice skills
• Develop technique and facility on instruments
• Listen and analyze different styles of jazz with an emphasis on Latin Jazz
• Perform in different big band and combo charts

Direct and teach emerging musicians in upper schools from 6th to 8th grade at Amigos School.
