Position: School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Cambridge, Massachusetts
Step into a meaningful role supporting young learners as a skilled RN or LPN in a school-based setting. This contract, part-time position focuses on providing care to a vibrant and active preschooler with a tracheostomy who may require a ventilator when unwell. You'll be instrumental in ensuring a safe, nurturing environment as you accompany the student on van transportation before and after school on Mondays and Fridays.

This is an onsite opportunity, with the contract extending through June 30, 2026; summer assignments and renewal for the next school year are possible for those who love working in education.

Your expertise will make a direct impact in the life of a young student while providing tailored 1:1 nursing care as part of a collaborative school team.

What we'd love to see:

• Active LPN or RN license in Massachusetts
• School-based experience and comfort working with young children
• Extensive knowledge of tracheostomy and pediatric ventilator care
• Ability to complete CORI and Fingerprinting background checks
• Only RNs and LPNs will be considered for this role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Riding with the assigned student on van transportation to and from preschool
• Delivering attentive care to a 3-year-old with medical needs, supporting safe mobility and activity
• Monitoring health and responding promptly to changes or emergencies
• Collaborating with school staff and families for seamless care continuity
• Maintaining accurate health records and following all school and health regulations
