Position
Harvard Divinity School (HDS) invites applications for a Professorship in Religion, Business Ethics, and the Economic Order. The role focuses on the intersection of religion, business, and economics and aims to promote research and teaching in this area.
Responsibilities- Teach courses across HDS programs including the multi‑religious Master of Divinity, Master of Theological Studies, and Master of Religion and Public Life, as well as the joint Doctor of Philosophy program with the Committee on the Study of Religion.
- Develop and sustain a rigorous research program addressing how religion shapes, guides, and challenges business practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues in other Harvard Schools, particularly Harvard Business School.
- Integrate analysis of inequality, race, gender, class, and social location into scholarship and teaching.
- Doctoral degree in religion, business ethics, or a related discipline by June 30, 2026.
- Excellence in teaching, scholarship, and research.
- Experience in interdisciplinary work between religion, economics, and business.
- Ability to contribute to curriculum development and student advising.
- Tenure‑track or tenured applicants welcome; the position is open rank.
