Description Of Service Opportunity

The role of the Grade Level Team Leader is to lead grade level teams in regular collaborative planning, data analysis, and instructional improvement; engage as an active participant on a school leadership team (e.g. LT, ILT, MTSS, FAC); and provide support for school improvement efforts in teaching and learning.

• Prepare for and facilitate a weekly Grade Level Team in collaborative planning, data analysis, and instructional improvement focusing on school‑based instructional practices such as FAR Cycle, Responsive Classroom, and Wayfinder.
• Maintain records of team meetings (agendas, notes, action plans, etc.) that are organized and accessible to team members.
• Learn about the PLC process and facilitation during PD through formal and supportive training, self‑study, reflection, discussion and dialogue.
• Represent Grade Level Team colleagues on a school leadership team (e.g. LT, ILT, MTSS, FAC) and communicate updates to team members.
• Work with the school principal and others to support a positive and collaborative inquiry‑based culture.

• Currently certified in the content area that is being taught.
