Assist the classroom teacher in implementing a curriculum based on children's individual developmental needs within a kindergarten classroom at Baldwin School.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist the teacher with planning, developing, and providing a creative learning environment focused on high academic achievement and collaboration.
• Support daily teaching activities, integrating learning across the curriculum.
• Work with pupils individually and in small group activities.
• Assist in the documentation of pupil progress.
• Prepare instructional materials.
• Perform other duties as designated by the teacher and principal.
• Assist with recess supervision.

• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s degree; minimum:
  Associate’s degree or 48 college credits.
• Previous coursework in elementary education preferred.
• Previous successful classroom experience with students in an urban, multicultural setting, preferably at the elementary level.
• Demonstrated ability to respect diversity and help children develop a positive self‑image as successful learners.
