Job Description
Job Title: Paraprofessional
Location: Fall River, MA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Hours: 6.5 hours/day
Minimum 1+ years paraprofessional or special education experience required.
Position OverviewWe are looking for committed Paraprofessionals to support our special education programs in elementary schools throughout the district. These full-time roles are crucial for assisting students with moderate to severe disabilities. The positions involve providing both individual support and classroom assistance.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students.
- Provide direct support to students with moderate to severe disabilities.
- Support classroom teachers in managing daily activities and student engagement.
- Assist with personal care, behavior management, and instructional support as needed.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Experience working with students who have moderate to severe disabilities.
- Ability to work effectively in both 1:1 and classroom settings.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting student success.
