Position:
Preschool Instructional Aide (7 hours per day/10 months) at Baldwin School, Cambridge, Massachusetts.

The Opportunity:
We are seeking an instructional aide to support instruction in a preschool classroom. Included in the role are some additional duties in addition to classroom support, such as recess or lunch coverage and bus duty, and other duties as assigned. The Instructional Aide will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support our students across educational settings.
Key Responsibilities- Work with a multidisciplinary team to enhance the educational, emotional, and behavioral development of students
- Provide support in reading/literacy, math, written language, and social-emotional behavior (with guidance)
- Collaborate with general education and special education staff
- Support formal and informal assessments as directed by teaching staff
- Accommodate and modify for student learning and support the general education teacher with the implementation of appropriate accommodations in the general education setting
- Toileting of students is a duty that may be expected and required for the paraprofessional employed by the Cambridge Public Schools
- Other related duties as assigned
- Commitment to ensuring that students have access to high-quality instructional and social-emotional support
- Above average skills in collaboration and flexible problem-solving
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university preferred
- Experience with children in an urban environment
Associate’s degree or 48 college credits from an accredited college or university preferred. Previous Montessori training or experience preferred.
