Vocal Instructor for Fall 2026

Description:

CCAE is seeking a part-time Vocal instructor to teach the art of singing. We are specifically interested in a class focused on vocal techniques. Instructors should hold a graduate degree or equivalent knowledge of singing and create a clear curriculum for adult learners with diverse backgrounds.

• Demonstrable experience and success in teaching vocal techniques
• An ability to engage a diverse demographic of adult learners
• Familiar/comfortable with teaching adults in person.

Since 1870, Cambridge Center for Adult Education has been dedicated to providing the widest range of high-quality, low-cost learning opportunities for the diverse adults of greater Boston. At a time when digital and virtual experiences have become omnipresent, Cambridge Center for Adult Education (CCAE) remains deeply committed to place-based, person-to-person, experiential learning. CCAE is a nonprofit organization with an annual operating budget of $2.5 million and a staff of over 15 FTEs.

We run nearly 2,000 classes over 4 terms, taught by over 250 professionals who are experts in their chosen fields. CCAE owns and operates two historically preserved properties in vibrant Harvard Square. (More information about CCAE can be found e.org/about)
