Bilingual Program & Partnerships Facilitator

Bilingual Generation is seeking a culturally competent, community-centered relational Bilingual Program & Partnerships Facilitator (Spanish/English) to join its small and mighty team on a part-time basis, with a target start date of November 2026. The Facilitator will support fixed-scope program implementation projects and help build and scale our presence and relationships across California. This person will help design, prepare, and deliver engaging learning experiences for families and educators, facilitate community-based sessions, support the development of bilingual resources that bridge home and school, and build community connections with key stakeholders in California.

The facilitator will support the launch of three new program cycles as Bilingual Generation scales its work across the state:

  • Family capacity building with LAUSD (in-person, Spanish or bilingual facilitation)
  • Family capacity building with Camino Nuevo Charter Academy (in-person, Spanish or bilingual facilitation)
  • Educator capacity building with the 21

    CSLA network in Northern California (virtual, English facilitation)

Each program cycle will generally include:

  • Program preparation: 2-3 weeks of planning, materials preparation, coordination, and partner alignment
  • Program implementation: 4 facilitated sessions per program
  • Program wrap-up: 1-2 weeks of reflection, documentation, feedback review, and closeout

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Training and Professional Development (50%):
    Facilitate professional development sessions (Spanish/English) for educators and school staff focused on helping multilingual learners thrive in schools Facilitate family engagement and capacity-building sessions (Spanish/English) that help caregivers support multilingual children’s language development, school navigation, and sense of belonging Translate research-based practices into actionable tools for PreK2nd grade educators Promote inclusive practices that support the academic and emotional wellbeing of multilingual students
  • Program Design (25%):
    Design bilingual (Spanish/English) programs and materials that empower and support emergent bilingual children Co-create learning materials, workshops, and resources for both caregivers and educators Co-develop content to reflect the cultural, linguistic, and lived experiences of immigrant and multilingual communities
  • Community Engagement (25%):
    Foster partnerships with local stakeholders, LEAs, districts, CMOs, and school leaders in the LA region, as well as emerging partners elsewhere in California, to strategically steward and pilot this work

Location & Travel Requirements:
You must be within commuting distance to travel locally for events and program implementation across Los Angeles County as needed, with occasional travel elsewhere in California or nationally. Other work can be performed from your own location. We prioritize candidates based in, or within reasonable commuting distance of, Los Angeles County.

What You Bring:

  • Required:

    Bachelor's Degree Bilingual in Spanish and English, with strong communication and writing skills in both A skilled facilitator of adult learning in in-person and virtual spaces Experience teaching multilingual learners in dual language, bilingual, newcomer, or multilingual learner programs, preferably in early childhood or early elementary settings. Instructional knowledge appropriate for linguistically diverse students in multilingual settings Demonstrated ability to develop curricula, resources, or programs that reflect community voices Demonstrated commitment to organizations mission of educational equity, language preservation, and intergenerational learning Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines on self-directed projects Comfortable working remotely, with experience using video conferencing, messaging, and digital workspace tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Workspace, Slack, etc).
  • Desired:
