At Shady Hill, we are looking for a tutor whose practice reflects our commitment to child-centered, developmentally appropriate instruction. - Strong understanding of structured literacy and the science of reading
- Skilled at using multisensory, explicit, and systematic instruction to support reading, spelling and writing
- Experience with literacy progress monitoring tools (e.g. DIBELS, PAST, running records)

- Ability to design engaging, targeted lessons that build student confidence and foundational skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- A demonstrated understanding of diversity and cultural competency through prior work with diverse populations
- Able to build trusting relationships with students, families and teachers
