Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School's Finance Group in Cambridge, MA is seeking one or more tenure-track faculty at the junior level, effective July 1, 2027, or as soon thereafter as possible. Outstanding senior level applicants will also be considered. We stress high research potential or achievement; faculty responsibilities include conducting original scholarly research in finance or related topics, teaching introductory finance as well as more specialized courses in Finance and related topics at the graduate and undergraduate level.
Applicants must possess a PhD in Finance or a related field by the start of employment. Applications must include a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and three letters of recommendation.

The pay range for a 9-month academic appointment at the entry-level Assistant Professor rank (excluding summer salary): $225,000 - $254,000. The pay offered to a selected candidate during hiring will be based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience and education/training, internal peer equity, and applicable legal requirements. These factors impact where an individual’s pay falls within a range.

The pay range for a 9-month academic appointment at the senior-level Professor rank (excluding summer salary) is $317,000 - $498,000. Senior salaries are determined by several factors. The pay offered to a selected candidate during hiring will be based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience and education/training, internal peer equity, and applicable legal requirements.
