Job SummaryAs an Electrical R&D Technician at MORSE you will be applying skills across a variety of disciplines to support the development of cutting-edge unmanned aerial vehicles and other integrated systems. MORSE is searching for candidates with experience building electro-mechanical systems and testing with a particular focus on electronics and electrical components. This position will be primarily onsite in our Cambridge lab and office.
Responsibilities- Contribute to the development of aerial vehicle components, sub-systems and systems
- Perform modifications to a COTS airframe to incorporate custom avionics and payloads
- Assemble, prototype, fabricate, test, and troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical systems
- Document first article fabrication and maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and component replacements
- Conduct functional tests and operational checks following assembly or repair to verify proper system functionality and performance
- Find new ways to improve manufacturing processes
- US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED and the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
- Ability to work in a rapidly-changing R&D environment
- Ability to follow detailed fabrication processes of complex prototypes to high degree of quality and accuracy
- Experience building wire harnesses (stripping, crimping, and bundling) and experience soldering
- Experience with electrical debug & fault isolation using basic electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, isolation testers)
- Experience in the fabrication of mechanical and electrical systems using commonly used techniques and tools
- Ability to identify issues, communicate them and work with engineers to develop solutions
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
MORSE Corp’s salary range for this role carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to, prior experience, education, skills and expertise, location, internal equity, and other factors that are job related and consistent with business need. Therefore, final offer amounts may vary from the amount stated. Depending on role eligibility, total compensation may also include bonus, stock, 401(k) match, paid time off, medical, dental, vision and life insurance.
Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year. MORSE maintains an “open” leave policy that does not restrict exempt, regular full-time employees to a specific number of paid sick or vacation days. However, this policy is not an “unlimited” paid leave policy.
Compensation
$75,000 - $110,000 USD
